Jan G. Korvink is a mechanical engineer and micro technologist with a keen interest in magnetic resonance. His research focuses on increasing the resolution of nuclear magnetic resonance for applications requiring challengingly small samples such as cells, or small organisms. His research work lies on the convergence of MEMS technology, including 3D nano-printed microfluidics, electrical detection of nuclear and electron paramagnetic resonance, and their application in the life sciences, for example for drug screening, and disease diagnosis. He is the co-recent recipient of the ERC-funded Synergy Grant "HiSCORE", and the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centre "HyPERiON". He has (co-)written more than 325 journal publications, and numerous technical and scientific books.
